The Light Between Forests: KOA x LIGHTPATH

I stayed in one of KOA Coopertown's new modern cabins — a space that felt both grounded and elevated. Morning light filtered through the pine trees, and the forest hum felt like white noise for the soul. This was a place built for pause.
Outside, the Airstreams caught the last light of the day — polished silver against the forest. I didn’t stay in one this time, but they became part of my visual study: how nostalgia and modern design can coexist. Each one reflecting the landscape like a mirror.
Inside, it’s a world of soft geometry. Curved walls that hold light gently, a skylight framing the slow drift of clouds — a balance between form and feeling.
Later, I walked toward the wellness center tucked deeper inside the campground. Lightpath LED panels lined the space beside the sauna and ice plunge, bathing the room in gradients of red and blue.
I brought a friend who modeled for one of the LED panels while the founder explained the science behind each wavelength.
I directed and photographed the moment, studying how the glow moved across her skin, how color translated into emotion. It felt like capturing light in conversation with life.
When we stepped back outside, the air was cool and still.

I ended the evening by the fire, wrapped in warmth and pine smoke, watching embers rise into the dark.

The kind of peace that asks nothing from you but to notice it.
